Description
62 Witney Road and Kimbles Brake are two houses dating from the 17th century, with the left house being a later addition from the same century. No. 62 is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features a half-hipped thatch roof. It has a rendered left end stack made of mid-19th century brick. The building has a two-unit plan and is one storey with an attic, displaying a two-window range. There are timber lintels above a 20th-century plank door located to the left of two 18th-century three-light leaded casements. A timber lintel also sits above a stair-light to the left, and there are two dormers featuring 18th-century two-light leaded casements.
Kimbles Brake is built from similar materials and has a stone ridge stack. It is also one storey with an attic and has a two-window range. This house has timber lintels over a central blocked door, a 20th-century plank door to the right, and 20th-century two-light casements. It features similar dormer casements. The interior and rear of both houses have not been inspected but are likely to be of interest.
