Description

This is a house, now a shop and flat, dating from the early to mid-18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a gabled concrete tile roof and a brick end stack. The building has a two-unit plan and a two-window arrangement over two storeys. The ground floor has a C20 shop window to the left, a C20 door with a stone lintel, and two 6-pane sashes to the right, all set within C19 architraves. The first floor has two 6-pane sashes with thick glazing bars. A C20 rear extension has been added. Inside, a cased ground-floor beam is present, and a collar truss has been noted. A fire insurance plaque is visible on the exterior. The building is included on the list for its group value.
