Description

A farmhouse, now a house, dating from the mid-18th century, with possible earlier origins. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with brick quoins and dressings, featuring a gabled roof covered in old tiles and brick end stacks. It follows a 3-unit plan with a symmetrical facade of 5 windows. A 20th-century porch and doors are present. The ground floor windows have cambered gauged brick arches, while the first-floor windows have flat brick arches with timber lintels, all containing 20th-century two-light casements. A raised brick storey band runs along the facade, above which are two 20th-century roof dormers. A 20th-century porch has been added to the rear. Inside, the room to the right contains a timber-framed partition, a chamfered ogee-stopped beam, and a chamfered roll-stopped bressumer with an inscribed date of 1649. The central staircase dates from the 19th century, and the roof is supported by 5 collar trusses.
