Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from 1677, as indicated by the datestone on the left gable wall. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a hipped Welsh slate roof, with brick stacks at the ends and a 20th-century stack to the rear left. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high, presenting a symmetrical five-window range.
A mid-19th century porch with cast-iron columns leads to a half-glazed door with an overlight. There are flat brick arches above mid-20th century six-pane sash windows. The farmhouse also has a raised storey band and a moulded wood cornice. At the rear and right, there are mid-19th century extensions built with similar materials, featuring segmental stone arches and ashlar architraves around the sashes and casements, as well as a door to the right.
Inside, there is a slightly restored bolection-panelled room to the left. The staircase dates from the mid-19th century, while a late 17th century balustrade at the top of the attic stairs is a remnant of the original staircase.
