II A House, early to mid-C18, with C20 extensions

MATERIALS: coursed limestone, gabled thatched roof, brick gable end stack.

EXTERIOR: built on a two-unit plan; two-storey, two-window range. Central C20 door and porch, timber lintels over C20 windows, and C19 first floor casements. C20 extensions.

INTERIOR: remodelled in C20. Not ispected in 2010 so extent of earlier survival is unknown.

REASONS FOR DESIGNATION: Millway, No. 131 Netherton Road, Appleton is listed at Grade II for the following principal reason: * Architectural interest: an example of early to mid-C18 vernacular architecture, retaining its thatched roof and limestone walls.
