Description
This is a small house located on Netherton Road in Appleton with Eaton, likely dating to the late 17th or early 18th century. It is constructed of colourwashed limestone rubble with colourwashed light timber framing at the top of the right gable and brick infill. The roof is thatched and features a brick end stack. The house has a 2-unit plan and is one storey tall with an attic. It originally had a 2-window front. A timber lintel sits over the plank front door, which is set within a moulded wood architrave. Timber lintels also cover a 19th-century two-light casement window on the left side and a 20th-century window on the right. A 20th-century extension has been added to the left. The interior has not been inspected, but it is likely to be of interest.
