Description

House. Built in the early 17th century. The house is timber-framed, with a timber frame of two panels deep, resting on a limestone rubble plinth. The frame has heavy timbers with colourwashed brick infill and thinner horizontal rails. The left gable wall is of colourwashed brick. It has a gabled thatched roof and a brick end stack. The original plan comprised two units. There are two storeys, and originally two windows. The window openings are irregularly placed. A late 19th-century four-panelled door with glazed upper panels is set within a 20th-century timber porch. Timber lintels are above the 19th-century three-light casement windows. A 20th-century extension is present to the right. The interior has not been inspected, but is likely to be of historical interest.
