Description

This barn, dating from the 18th century, is located approximately 30 meters north of Chainhill Farmhouse, which is not included in the listing. The structure features 20th-century weatherboarding over a timber frame and has an asbestos sheet roof. It has a five-bay aisled plan with a central threshing floor and a sloping roof over the porch. The barn includes 20th-century metal doors and a half-hipped roof. Inside, the posts are braced to the tie beam and wall plate, and it has a five-bay queen-post roof with clasped purlins.
