Description

No. 34 Wallingford Street is a town house that has been converted into a house and shop. It dates from the early 17th century and features roughcast over timber framing, an old tile roof, and brick stacks. The building has a single-unit plan, is two storeys high with an attic, and has a two-window range. The door and windows were replaced in the 20th century, while the attic features 18th-century two-light leaded windows. The roof is cross-gabled with gable end stacks. Inside, there is a chamfered bressumer above a chalk rubble stack on the right, along with cased beams. The first floor and attic have chamfered and stopped beams, as well as a queen-post roof.
