Description

This milestone, dating from the 18th century, is located approximately 1 meter south of Angier's Almshouses on Reading Road in Wallingford. It has been resited in its original position around 1986. The milestone is made of stone and features a half-circular shape with an angled top. It is inscribed with the distances to Oxford (13 miles) and Reading (15 miles).
