Description
St John's Cottage is a house that likely dates from the mid-17th century. It features lined render, probably over brick, with an old plain-tile roof. The building has a brick ridge stack located to the left of the center and a rendered end stack on the right. It is two stories high and has a three-window range facing St. John's Road. The windows have an irregular arrangement, consisting of 4-pane sashes, except for a 2-light casement on the ground floor to the right. On the left side, facing St. John's Green, there is a 20th-century sash door to the left. The ground and first floors have 2-light casements with 2-centred arched heads and Gothick glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
