Description
Roger's Hill Farmhouse, originally shown on the OS map as Glenroy, is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 18th century, now functioning as a house. It is constructed of colourwashed Flemish bond brick and features a gabled old tile roof with symmetrical end stacks. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with a four-window range. A segmental arch is present over a 20th-century plank door, which is sheltered by an open timber porch, while there is a blocked doorway to the right. Segmental arches also feature over three-light casements in the outer bays, and flat brick arches are found over two blind central windows, flanked by three-light casements in the outer bays. The eaves are dentilled. Inside, there is a chamfered doorframe leading to a plank rear door, chamfered beams, and one exposed truss with studding. The farmhouse is included for its group value.
