Description

Brookside is a house dating from the 17th century, originally built with a timber frame and now rendered. It features a gabled and half-hipped thatch roof with a brick stack at the right end. The house has a two-unit plan, is one storey high with an attic, and includes a two-window range. On the front, 19th-century two-light casements are positioned beside a blocked window opening, and there is a 20th-century dormer casement. A 19th-century four-panelled door is located in the right gable wall. There is also a 20th-century extension at the rear. Inside, the property has chamfered beams and winder stairs, and the three-bay roof features a queen-post truss and a closed truss.
