Description
The Laurels is a farmhouse built in the mid to late 18th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick and features a string course. The roof is made of old plain tiles and is hipped to the left, with brick stacks at the ridge and right end. The building has an L-plan with a wing at the rear on the right side. It stands two storeys high with an attic and has a symmetrical front with a three-window range. The entrance includes a 20th-century glazed door and a part-glazed open-fronted porch. The ground floor features 19th-century four-pane sash windows with rusticated rendered flat arches and keyblocks. On the left side facing the road, there is a sash window to the right, and a 20th-century three-light wood mullioned and transomed window to the left, which has a gauged brick flat arch. The first floor contains a 20th-century cross window and three blocked windows. The interior has not been inspected.
