BECKLEY AND STOWOOD BECKLEY SP51SE 2/15 Cowhouse approx. 60m. SE of 18/07/63 Beckley Park (Formerly listed as Beckley Park including farm buildings)

GV II

Cowhouse. Possibly late C17. Weatherboarded timber framing on limestone rubble plinth; corrugated asbestos roof. 3-bay plan with gable outshut. One storey plus loft. Central opposed stable doors; shuttered, wood-latched feeding openings to ends and rear; loft door above rear entrance; outshut to left. Half-hipped roof. Interior: Wooden fence to feeding passage has pivotted staves, at intervals, secured by hinged wooden clamps; 2 small pens beside entrance. An unaltered example.
