Description
Bank House Farmhouse is a farmhouse with origins in the 17th century, featuring later alterations. It is constructed from uncoursed ironstone rubble, regular coursed ironstone rubble, and squared coursed ironstone. The building has a steeply pitched wood shingle roof, with 20th-century brick ridge and end stacks. The farmhouse has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys high, with a four-window range. The entrance is off-centre to the left and includes a plank door beneath a gabled 20th-century open porch. This entrance is flanked by 20th-century five-light windows set in original openings, which have painted wood lintels. On the first floor, there are four 20th-century two- and three-light windows. The interior has not been inspected. The farmhouse is included for its group value.
