Description
This building, known as Carr Leport and Rebel Jeans, is a house that has been converted into offices and shops. It dates back to around 1660 and was restored in the 19th century. The structure is timber framed with a stucco front and a slate roof, featuring brick end stacks and stone copings. It stands three storeys tall and has a five-window range.
On the right side, there is a 20th-century shop front, while the left side has wooden cased surrounds for its windows and doorways. The first floor showcases five 5-light wooden oriel windows that are linked by arched recesses. The second floor features five similar 4-light wooden mullioned oriel windows supported by brackets. There are also five hipped roof dormers and a moulded wooden eaves cornice with decorated floor pendants.
Inside, there is a stop-chamfered beam in the office on the right side of the ground floor, along with altered staircases and a butt-purlin roof.
