Description
Number 13 Albest and Number 13A Baxters are a house and shops located in Banbury Market Place, dating from the early 18th century. The building is constructed of brick with a stucco front and features a slate roof and a brick end stack. It stands three storeys tall, plus an attic, and has a five-window range. The ground floor has 20th-century shop fronts with two entrances. The first floor has five sash windows with keystoned stone surrounds and three-pane glazing bars, while the second floor has five smaller windows of a similar style. The attic contains casement windows. The building is topped with a bracket cornice and a parapet. The ground floor has been remodeled in the 20th century, and the upper floors are not safe to be inspected.
