Description
Abbey National is a house and shop located at No. 14 Banbury Market Place, which also includes No. 83 High Street. It dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century and is constructed of brick with a stucco front. The building features a 20th-century gambrel tile roof and brick end stacks. It stands three storeys high plus an attic and has a three-window range. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front, while the first floor showcases three sash windows with margin lights, each surrounded by moulded stone with moulded cornices. The second floor has three similar windows, and there are 20th-century windows in the attic. The building also has imitation rusticated quoins and a parapet.
