Description

This barn, located approximately 25 meters north of Newton Morrell Farmhouse, dates back to 1797. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features a slate roof with four bays. The entrance to the threshing floor is marked by wide plank doors and a wooden lintel. Inside, the barn has a four-bay butt-purlin roof, with principal rafters supported by collars, tiebeams, and purlins. The common rafters have been renewed, and the principal rafters are pegged at the apex.
