Description
No. 6 is a cottage located on Main Street, dating from the 18th century with some 20th-century alterations. It is built from coursed limestone rubble and features a steeply pitched thatched roof with a brick ridge stack. The cottage has a two-unit plan and is a single storey plus attic. The entrance, located approximately in the center, has a renewed door with a wooden lintel and is flanked by 20th-century casement windows in wooden frames, which have original lintels. A thatched hood covers the porch. On the right side, there is a single eyebrow dormer with a 20th-century wooden casement window. Inside, there is a chamfered beam and an inglenook fireplace with a bressumer. This building is included for its group value.
