Description
No. 50 High Street is a cottage dating from the 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed squared limestone and features a plain-tile roof with a brick ridge stack. The building has a two-unit plan and is two stories tall, with a three-window range. On the ground floor, there is a three-light casement window to the left, two-light casements to the right, and a small two-light casement window in the dormer, all of which have wooden lintels. A casement window on the far right of the ground floor has replaced a door, and there is a 20th-century porch on the left side. Inside, the cottage includes stop-chamfered spine beams and an open fireplace with a chamfered bressumer.
