Description
Church House is a house dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century and an extension added in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed squared limestone banded with ironstone and features a thatched roof with brick end stacks. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, presenting a three-window range. The central entrance is a 20th-century door set within a 20th-century porch that has a wooden lintel. The ground floor has two-light casement windows on the left and a three-light casement window on the right, all featuring wooden lintels. The left side of the house has ironstone quoins and a stone- and brick-coped gable. To the right, there is a 20th-century two-storey, one-window extension. Inside, the house includes chamfered spine beams and an open fireplace with a stop-chamfered bressumer, as well as a corner fireplace with a timber lintel.
