Description

Moat Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1672, as indicated by the weathervane, with an additional date of 1782 on the front elevation. The building consists of two abutting ranges. The south range is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features a steeply pitched slate roof with stone end stacks. It is two storeys high and has a four-window range. The ground and first floors have renewed sash windows with glazing bars set in original openings, which are topped with keyblock stone heads. There are three gabled roof dormers. The north range is partly timber-framed, has a red-tile roof, and brick end stacks, with renewed windows and doors. The interior has not been inspected.
