Description
Oxford Lodge is a gate lodge built in the late 18th century. It is constructed from limestone rubble with some ashlar dressings and features an elongated octagonal plan with additions. The two-storey structure includes a crenellated tower with arched Gothick windows on the ground floor and a crenellated porch on the left side of the front. The first floor has small openings above an ashlar band, with round windows flanking a blind quatrefoil at the front and similar openings at the rear, mostly blind. There is a crenellated chimney on the right side and a hipped-roofed addition at the rear. The interior has not been inspected. This building is one of the gate lodges to Middleton Park.
