Description

The Jones memorial is a headstone located approximately 5 meters southeast of the south aisle of the Church of St. Mary. It dates from around 1690 and is made of limestone. The small stone features an undulating head and has a recessed inscription panel surrounded by a rectangular moulded frame decorated with drapery, scrolls, and a cherub's head. The worn inscription commemorates two children of John and Jane Jones, with Jane's death recorded as 1690.
