Description
The Jones memorial is a chest tomb located approximately 4 meters south of the south transept of the Church of St Mary and St Andrew. It dates from around 1813 and is made of sandstone. The tomb has a rectangular shape with a moulded plinth and capping, as well as fluted corner pilasters. A plain inscription panel on the north side commemorates Jasper Jones, who died in 1813, and his wife, Mary, who died in 1864. At the time of the last survey in 1985, the tomb was covered with ivy.
