Description

The Stone House is a house dating from 1777, constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof featuring a small central gable, raised verges, and end stacks. It has two storeys and a gable-lit attic, with a dentilled eaves cornice. The front has three windows, which are glazing bar sashes with plastered stone heads and projecting keystones; the central window is blind and painted to imitate a window. The central entrance consists of paired six-panel doors set within a pedimented wooden doorcase, which has panelled reveals on the sides and a centre partition. The datestone on the central gable is inscribed with "IH/1777," indicating it was built for Joseph Harrington.
