Description

The Jones Memorial is a chest tomb located approximately 9 metres to the north of the north aisle of the Church of St George. It dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century and is made of sandstone ashlar. The tomb features a moulded plinth, side panels with carved radial-fan corners, corners shaped as extended balusters, and a plain top. It commemorates Mary and Elizabeth, who died in 1798, Edward, who died in 1837, and Thomas, who died in 1841, all of the Jones family.
