Description

Acton House is a house dating from the mid-to-late 18th century, possibly a remodelling of an earlier building. It has a roughcast exterior, likely over a timber frame, and features a slate roof. The house is two storeys high with a gable-lit attic and has an integral brick end-stack on the left side. The front has two windows, with glazing bar sashes; the ground floor to the right has a 16-pane window. There are five steps leading up to a central four-panelled door from the mid-to-late 19th century, which has flush bottom panels and is topped by an early 19th-century lead-canopied porch.
