Description

Home Farm is a C17 farmhouse, remodelled in the C18. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with wooden lintels and has an old plain-tile roof with rubble and brick gable stacks. The building is arranged in an L-shape. The front elevation has three bays and originally had a regular arrangement of three-light casements with a central doorway, though it shows signs of early alteration. Gable walls are notable for their massive stone chimney projections, with the left stack featuring two diagonal shafts. A rear wing returns on the right, featuring renewed cross windows at first floor, and a gable wall containing a two-light wood-mullioned window with intermediate bars. A stair wing is situated in the angle of the ranges. The interior has not been inspected.
