Description
Priory Farmhouse outbuilding, located approximately 100 metres southwest of Clattercote, is an early 17th-century structure that has been converted into stables. The building consists of two sections made from ironstone ashlar and features a steeply pitched red-tile roof with stone-coped gables.
The left section is a single storey plus loft with three bays. It has a centrally located entrance with a chamfered, cambered head, which is adorned with a hood mould and label stop. Flanking the entrance are four-light cavetto-section mullioned windows, also with hood moulds and label stops. To the right of the entrance, there is a tall two-light casement window with a wooden lintel, and to the left, a smaller casement window, also with a wooden lintel. There is a loft door at the left end of this section. Inside, the structure features a three-bay strut roof, and the lower floor has chamfered beams and rafters.
The right section is also a single storey plus loft, consisting of two bays. It has a central entrance with a moulded wood frame and wooden lintel, flanked by two-light wooden casement windows. This part features stone quoins and is noted for having a contemporary fireplace in the loft.
