Description
This is an outbuilding located to the south of Clattercotes Farmhouse, likely dating from the late 17th century, with some earlier elements and 20th-century alterations. The structure is built from sandstone rubble and features a slate roof with an eaves course of stone slates.
On the north wall, there is evidence of a blocked opening on the ground floor towards the right, and above it, a 2-light rebated and chamfered mullioned window on the first floor. To the left, there is a doorway with a quoined chamfered surround and a re-set moulded ogee lintel. The left-hand (east) gable wall has a single-storey lean-to extension, while the right-hand gable wall has a single-storey garage extension added in the 20th century. Above the roof level of this extension, the main gable features a 5-light rebated and chamfered mullioned window. The rear wall includes a wide 20th-century timber sliding door, with the remnants of a blocked mullioned window surround to its left.
