Description
Cropredy Lawn Farmhouse is a farmhouse that possibly dates from the late 17th century, with alterations and additions from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of ironstone ashlar and features a hipped and gabled roof covered with 20th-century tiles. The building has brick stacks at the ends and internally. It has a two-unit plan with later additions, standing two storeys high plus attics, and includes a three-window range.
The central entrance is highlighted by a gabled 20th-century porch and is flanked by renewed three-light wooden mullioned and transomed windows with stone flat arches. The windows have opening casements, and there are three similar windows on the first floor, along with three 20th-century dormers. The right side has a canted gable end with a hipped roof.
Inside, there are three staircases, including an 18th-century dog leg stair and a 19th-century winder stair. The interior features a stone flag floor and a moulded wooden cornice from the 19th century in the parlour on the right. There are stone steps leading to the cellar and a plank door with strap hinges at the rear.
