Description
Church Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 20th centuries. It is built of coursed squared ironstone and features a plain-tile roof from the 20th century, along with brick end stacks. The building has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys tall with an attic, displaying a three-window range. A 20th-century door is located to the left of centre, topped with a stone lintel and key block. The ground and first floors have 20th-century two-light casement windows, also with stone lintels and key blocks. The farmhouse has quoin corners, stone-coped gables with kneelers, and three 20th-century roof dormers.
Inside, there is a stop-chamfered spine beam and some ogee-stop-chamfered joists in the current kitchen. The interior also features an open fireplace with a chamfered bressumer and a salt cupboard. There is a fitted corner cupboard with shaped shelves and a dog-leg staircase leading from the ground floor to the attic, complete with square newel posts.
