Description

Lock Number 3 on the Northampton Arm of the Grand Union Canal is a lock built around 1815, with restorations completed in 1877 and in the 20th century. It is constructed of red and blue brick and features timber and metal swing gates. The lock is single-width, with a single upper gate and double lower gates, and includes an overflow channel. This lock is part of a series of 12 locks on the Northampton Arm of the Grand Union Canal.
