Description
Lock No. 8 on the Northampton Arm of the Grand Union Canal is a lock built around 1815, with restorations completed in 1882 and 1920. It is constructed of red brick and features metal gates. The lock is single-width, with one upper gate and two lower gates, and includes an overflow channel. This lock is part of a series of twelve locks along the Northampton Arm of the Grand Union Canal.
