Lock Number 4 on the Northampton Arm of the Grand Union Canal is a lock built around 1815, with restorations completed in 1888 and the 20th century. It is constructed of red and blue brick and features metal swing gates. This lock is single-width, with a single upper gate and double lower gates, and includes an overflow channel.
