Description
Lock Number 5 on the Northampton Arm of the Grand Union Canal is a lock built around 1815, which underwent restoration in 1883 and further work in the 20th century. It is constructed of red brick and features metal gates. This lock is a single width design, with one upper gate and two lower gates, and includes an overflow channel. It is part of a series of 12 locks on the Northampton Arm of the Grand Union Canal.
