Description
Lock Number 9 is a lock located on the northern arm of the Rothersthorpe Grand Union Canal, built around 1815 and restored in 1891 and the 20th century. It is constructed of red brick and features metal gates. This lock is designed with a single width and includes single upper gates and double lower gates. It also has an overflow channel and is part of a flight of 12 locks on the Northampton Arm of the Grand Union Canal.
