Description
This building is a barn and attached outhouses located about 100 metres north-west of Finchcocks. It dates from the 16th century, with extensions added around 1700 and in the 19th century. The structure is timber-framed and weather boarded, featuring weather boarded and tile-hung extensions on red brick bases, topped with plain tiled roofs. The barn has a half-hipped roof with two hipped midstreys and outshots at both the front and rear. Inside, there are a total of 10 bays, with the two bays on the right being separately framed and earlier in date. The roof throughout has clasped purlins. There is a gabled rear wing dating from around 1800, which has an open arcaded ground floor. Additionally, at the front right, there is a later gabled two-storey range with an open-arched ground floor.
