Description

Appletree Cottage is a house dating to around 1700. It is built with a red brick ground floor upon a stone base, and the upper floor is tile hung. The roof is tiled. The house is two storeys high, with a garret space, and sits on a plinth. It has a gambrel roof and a large, projecting stack at the end on the left. The windows are regularly spaced, comprising three-light and two-light wooden casements on both floors. A 20th-century rib and stud door is located in a gabled, rendered porch at the centre of the front. A catslide extension projects to the rear, alongside a two-storey wing positioned centrally to the rear.
