Description

Mableford Cottage and Clock View Cottage are a house dating from the 17th century or earlier, with substantial alterations and recladding in the 18th and mid-19th centuries. The house is timber-framed and has a red and blue chequered brick ground floor, ornamental tile hanging on the first floor, and weatherboarded return elevations. The roof is covered in plain and banded fishscale tiles and has a half-hip on the left side and a stack in the centre left. The house sits on a plinth with a dentilled string course marking the first floor. There are three two-light wooden casement windows on each floor, with segmental heads on the ground floor. A boarded door is located in a raking porch to the centre left and a lean-to outshot to the end right. A catslide outshot is at the rear and a gabled 19th-century wing has been added.
