Description
Picketts Farm House is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. It is timber-framed and built on a brick and stone plinth. The walls are red brick with blue brick headers to the moulded wooden eaves, and the roof is covered with plain tiles, featuring end stacks offset to the right. The house is two storeys high, with a plat band above the ground floor. It has four glazing bar sash windows on the first floor, with one window blocked. The ground floor features a tripartite glazing bar sash window under a segmental head to the left, and two glazing bar sashes under segmental heads to the right. A central glazed door is set within a pent roof porch supported by wooden posts and brick dado walls, extending to the right over the windows. A catslide roof extends to the left-hand return front. A hipped roof wing is set at a right angle to the rear, with exposed timber framing and curved corner bracking.
