Description

GOUDHURST CHURCH ROAD TQ 73 NW (east side) Kilndown 5/136 Tomb of Marshall Viscount Beresford, about 1 metre south of Christ Church GV II Tomb/memorial to William, Viscount Beresford, D.1854 and Lady Louisa, d.1851. Stone and marble. Large stepped base to 2 chests, the side panels of incised white marble, the top slabs with raised crosses and bronze inscriptions. The whole originally covered by elaborate superstructure, removed for safety reasons 1923.
