Description

This is an early 19th century house located on London Road. It is a three-storey building with a partial basement, constructed of painted brick, and has a hipped slate roof and a renewed parapet. A stringcourse runs above the first floor. The windows are three sashes, but the glazing bars are missing. A wooden balcony with a hood is positioned on the first floor. Below the balcony is a porch, now glazed, supported by fluted columns and featuring iron railings. A flight of steps originally had a handrail on both sides, but only the northern side retains a handrail. A rectangular fanlight is above the porch. The side elevation is clad in tiles. Flanking the ground floor and basement are walls with segmental parapets that curve upward towards the house, incorporating brick pilasters on the exterior and round-headed arches at the centre. The southern arch contains a window.
