Description

This fountain, located about 25 metres southeast of Bedgebury Park House, dates from the mid-19th century. It is made of painted cast iron and features a stone basin. The fountain has a heavily scrolled base leading to an intermediate basin, which is supported by a baluster stem that holds the upper basin. The upper basin includes water 'points' and is topped with a putto as a finial. Originally, the fountain was supplied with water from a rain pump located a third of a mile to the northeast.
