Description

This is a fountain located approximately 30 metres to the west of the house on the Grimston Park Estate. It dates from the early to mid-19th century and features a circular basin. The basin is surrounded by ashlar stone and has rounded coping on its walls. The fountain itself consists of a shallow urn with gadrooned sides, resting on an octagonal plinth with a moulded stem. At the top, three dolphins with entwined tails support a shell-like bowl that has a cherub. This fountain is included in the listing for its group value with the surrounding structures.
