Description

HAWKHURST WATER LANE TQ 73 SE (east side) 10/455 Main stable block about 100 metres north-west of Tongswood Farmhouse GV II Stable block. Late C19. Timber framed and weather-boarded on red brick base with plain tiled roof. Single storey with hipped roof, with shuttered and gabled louvres to left and to right and central octagonal dovecot-turret with concave spire and weather-vane. Central projecting half-timbered gable on brackets with loft door and hoist pulley. Ground floor with boarded half-doors to end left, end right and paired to centre with rectangular fanlight, with paired mullioned windows to left and right. Part of the model-farm complex belonging to Kingswood Home Farm.
