Description

HASTINGS WATER LANE TQ 73 SE (east side) Barns/Stock houses about 30 metres north-east of main stable block, Tongswood Farm GV II

Barns/stock houses. Late C19. Timber framed and weather boarded with red brick bases, with plain tiled roofs. Storage blocks at centre, with triple gabled roof on large brackets, with round arched openings, the arch heads boarded in with carriage doors to left and to right. Single storey gabled block projecting to right with top, with boarded door on ground floor. One storey and attic block recessed to left, with ogee-roofed cupola and weather vane, with wooden casement to attic, and boarded doors and paired wooden casements on ground floor. Part of the model farm complex at Tongswood Home Farm.
